Blurb (from web):
From financial crises to the woes of householders, from political instability to rampant corruption, Laxman’s cartoons capture the entire gamut of contemporary Indian experience. Hilarious and thought-provoking at the same time, this is a treasure house of humor from one of the most striking voices commenting on Indian socio-political life today.
My take on the book:
Even the cover design of each book in the series is a satirical cartoon.
Though even this issue of the Common Man deals mostly with political satires, it had fewer politics-related compared to other issues. However, I noticed one aspect that was repeated quite a few times. It was the term, 'Feel good' or 'Feeling good'. Maybe, it was one of the most trending terms at that time.
The following are a couple of excerpts from the book.
I still can't fathom how one man could develop satires addressing almost each and every negative aspect of India...
